Steve, These are useful and easy to install. The hinge on your back has a spring loaded pin. Compress the spring, the pin retracts, and the back falls off. The early backs on the KX, K2, KM, and LX were big bulky affairs with a 1.5 X 1.0 inch box on the camera back. With the ME, MX, and ME
