IMHO, the only Pentax data back worth a darn is the one
available for the SF1. It has several formats for
sequencing - A00 thru 99 amd B, C, D along time
imprinting.

These are useful and easy to install. The hinge on your back has a spring
loaded pin. Compress the spring, the pin retracts, and the back falls off.
The early backs on the KX, K2, KM, and LX were big bulky affairs with a 1.5 X
1.0 inch box on the camera back. With the ME, MX, and ME

The booklet shows the info on the picture. NOW the date on mine only goes up
to 1991!
On the other hand my son is going to use it to document the exposure
[another option on the data back] on still film for his movies.
