After private emails with Fred, i'v pretty much talked myself into
trying an Epson printer.The R220 seems adaqate for BW prints with 3rd
party black ink(s). More so than my Canon which displays the green tint
Fred mentioned he had, and sems to have gone in the R220.

Dave, I have a R200 which I believe uses the same ink carts. I have
notice that my prints granulate a bit over time (months, not years).
They look pretty good in normal light, but viewed under unrelenting
light they are pretty grainy looking. Now that may be due to my not
using the correct
at a local Comp USA store near me. I buy my inks on
line for substantially less.

Just ordered it and the Eboni inks.
Well i will be giving a work out and i'll hang one in the sun room as i
didi my Canon print when i bought it.
I still have the S800 for starters.
