I said that of the NX10 two years ago. It felt like a Pentax in all
the good ways.

I would miss having image stabilization. In the lens is okay, but it adds cost
over and over again, if you purchase multiple lenses. And since I frequently
shoot with longer lenses in low light, I'm a big fan of IBIS.

That would kind of depend on the IQ of the sensor. Personally I think
the Sony Nex-7 with a KAF adapter module that contains a focusing motor
for legacy lenses. It looks like a much cleaner design.

It's all about individual usage, Bob. If I were shooting landscapes
hand-held, then I might miss it more, but shooting people (whether
indoors or out) I need at least 1/60s shutter speeds to stop movement,
and doing that with a 30mm lens means IS would be of no help. If I
were using a 60mm or

Sure, this is what Pentax should have built instead of the K-01, in a
fantasy universe where EVFs are free and this camera doesn't therefore
cost several hundred bucks more than a K-01 (and almost as much as a
K-5). :)

Though DxOMarks scores are not absolute truth, it appears that K-01

I hate to refer to DxOmark, as it seems to result in a schism of
fanatical religious proportions whenever it is mentioned anywhere, but

No - proprietary mount. A non-autofocus K mount adapter is available
from Samsung and some third parties also supply them.

There is more to a camera than it's sensor, but I think it is
interesting that the only sensors that are rated *higher* than the K-5
(and the 645D which it ties in score) are the Nikon D3X, D4, D800 and
some Phase One backs.
