Hey Bruce, you can put confirmed next to my name on that list, as well as
a possible guest or two.
I helped convert a coworker of mine over to Pentax (he bought the *istDL
two-lens kit last week), and he and his girlfriend might be coming along.

In all honesty, I don't know what tips I can share. I just wander about
and snap the shutter every now and then.
I'm probably going to bring the K24/2.8 (might be interesting to compare
24's), the K30/2.8 or a 35mm, plus a couple of A lenses. The 18mm is
vacationing in Iowa otherwise I'd
Tips about what kinds of things catch your eye, composition, showing
sense of place versus tight shots, etc. To you it may not sound like
much, but to some of us, you may have a tidbit or two that helps.

day's subject idea...
yes, actually write it down.
- Shoot 50-100 exposures.
- Put them together as thumbnails without editing in a proof sheet
and study them together

Youre meeting at Union Square!!! I am so jealous. Union Square is one of my
favorite places to visit in San Francisco, and always try to stay at the St.
Francis, which is on the square, when I visit San Francisco. Im sure that
everyone who goes will enjoy it.

Driving in SF is crazy ... parking is difficult. Public transit is
well supported. San Francisco's MUNI includes busses, subways, trams

Indeed, these little get togethers have been fun, and I've always learned
something as well.

Have some tips and ideas about shooting this venue presented by Shel,
Godfrey and Juan (assuming they are all coming). Then we'll split
into some groups and shoot a bit.
I'd like to suggest Original Joe's as a neat place for dinner. It's a
traditional, old style, Italian joint, nice decor, big booths, a bar (for
those who might want to imbibe a bit), good prices.

Save force majeure, I will be there.
An obvious place to meet in Union Square is the coffee shop--there's
just one in the square, with tables outside.
