I disinstalled the printer driver which had worked flawlessly for ages and
reinstalled a virgin one from the original CD suppied by HP... et voila
(typical Italian word ;-) everything was back to work. So,
I thought they had extra virgins in Italy... helped to make that brand

This is a help question for the XP geeks out there. I can no longer print by
any printer since the Spooler SubSystem App. closes down as soon as I switch
a printer on. Even manual starting the spooler in Services doesn't help, as
the Spooler SubSystem App. closes down again immediately.
