Macro is doable with 4x5 and the right body. You will need a bag bellows and a lens designed for close focus such as a Ysaron. Also, good front movements will allow you to do things on film that would otherwise require Photoshop. Focus gets critical here. Since film sits loosely in holders

another thing you have to deal with is exposure compensation when extending lenses into the macro range. It varies with extension so getting exposure correct is a challenge. On 3/4/2015 9:42 AM, Bulent Celasun wrote: I was searching for a proper, locally available 150mm lens (it is not

I was searching for a proper, locally available 150mm lens (it is not included in the package) as the standard focal range. I was thinking that the range of movements might have helped in selectively increasing the DOF. If that is not the case even with extreme range of movements I have to

Macro is almost impossible due to extremely limited depth of field. If you stick to flat objects you might have some success, but with the bellows extended a great deal, you will have to calculate reprocity failure to get correct exposures. Large format lends itself best to things like

based on my experience with large format photography: first of all, the larger the format, the less DOF. so macro photography on large format is very difficult due to narrow DOF. focusing a 90mm F8 lens isnt that difficult with a lupe, but its a wide angle and not really suitable for macro.
