The noise was so bat(d) lightroom couldn't handle it. Tried topaz denoise as a lightroom plugin but that was even worse. Then I remembered denoise standalone accepts raw files directly. Simply amazing. This is from a panasonic G9 which isn't the best you can get in the minimal noise department

The owner's manual says to use two 1.5 v alkaline (A76) or silver oxide (EPX76) mini-batteries. I can find no prohibition against the use of lithium batteries. However silver oxide batteries last so long, and are so plentiful, I see no reason to go to lithium. . . My LX came with Varta V76PX

DL1/3N, 2L76 or CR1/3N are the designations. I have used these lithiums in six LX's (I no longer have six but I got carried away at one stage) they have worked fine and these double sized 3V batteries eliminate the contact between the two smaller 1.5s which has to be a good thing. handmaid
