Re: French trip

2017-06-19 Thread Bob W-PDML
That would be great - I'd love to go there, especially with someone who knows
what they're looking at. Sadly not this year though; I'm going to the Edinburgh
Festival the week before, and have used up my leave allowance (and money)
except for a few days saved for Christmas.

Very enjoyable! Thanks.

My personal favorites:
IsleSorgue-3106:

IsleSorgue-3115:
https://web-options.com/2017/06/15/lisle-sur-la-sorgue/#jp-carousel-411

Avignon-3299:
https://web-options.com/2017/06/15/a-few-shots-from-avignon/#jp-carousel-432
Avignon-3035:
https://web-options.com/2017/06/15/a-few-shots-from-avignon/#jp-carousel-421
Avignon-3069:
https://web-options.com/2017/06/15/a-few-shots-from-avignon/#jp-carousel-426

If it were my image, I would probably add a touch of brightness and “clarity”
to the buildings in 3115. But without a broader context, I can’t tell if this
is an accurate capture of a dreary day, or of a faded building. Or of a faded
building on a dreary day. But I just want to lighten it up! YMMV.

French trip

2017-06-15 Thread Bob W-PDML
I've been back from my French bike ride since Sunday evening. I didn't do as
much as I'd planned, unfortunately. By the time I'd arrived at Montlucon it was
too late to cycle the 400km to Avignon through the Ardeche, so I jumped on a
train and had three unplanned and enjoyable days in Avignon, which is a great
city.

Here are some of the photos I've been able to look at so far.

I'll publish some more next week. Going away this weekend (shooting film on my
M3), so can't do anything for a few days.
