Earthlink has long had a reputation for being a haven for spammers, even before

The list software may have ideas of its own.

When I was subscribed to the list using my Earthlink email address I'd
regularly get blocked by the SPAM Blacklist software y'all subscribed to.

Some "business" customer of Earthlink would SPAM & the server node would
get blacklisted ... then MY posts would get rejected if my outgoing mail
happened to hit the same server node.

Earthlink's "technical support" /s couldn't do anything about it.

In SA with up to 8 hours Load Shedding per day & subsequent switch on
surges, the insurance claims have skyrocketed. Mostly TV's, Fridges &
Aircons. The insurance companies have "eliminated" their risk by
insisting on a surge protector fitted to the DB by a certified
electrician. Too expensive for most of us so we now have individual
surge plugs on sensitive appliances.

Not horrendously expensive here, as long as your consumer unit (fusebox) has
room for it. Cartridge types (a base that fits the rail in the unit with a
replaceable active part) vary from about £30 to £150. No more than an hour's
work for the sparky to fit it. Using surge protector plugs on everything would
easily cost us that.

Rick, we have a whole-house surge protector, it is wired in through the main
