Re: Epson rebates
Since they are both much newer technology I suspect either will produce better prints than the 2880. From what I've read, the P5000 is the one to get if you're doing heavy printing day after day. It probably produces somewhat better prints, too, but I doubt the difference would be noticeable without serious magnified examination. The other question, for me, would be how many prints do I have to sell to justify the cost difference. -p On 3/28/2017 4:17 PM, Paul Stenquist wrote: Which is a better photo printer? The 5000 is not a replacement for the P800. It's a replacement for the 4900. Is more of a production model than the P800 with a different inkset, different heads, beefier build with an MSRP about $500 more than the P800. -p On 3/28/2017 3:28 PM, Paul Stenquist wrote: Haven't these been replaced? The new model is P5000, not 5000S. https://luminous-landscape.com/epson-introduces-surecolor-p5000-professional-17-inch-10-color-inkjet-printer/ Paul via phone > On Mar 28, 2017, at 3:25 PM, Paul in MKEwrote: > > If you're thinking of buying an Epson P series printer there are some rebates > good through the end of March. > > Link to P400 info, P600 and P800 have similar deals... > > > http://tinyurl.com/mv2poof > > -p > > > -- > Being old doesn't seem so old now that I'm old. > > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > PDML@pdml.net > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow > the directions. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

Haven't these been replaced? I keep seeing ads for the 5000S, which appears to be a replacement for the 800P.
