Also, do you know how this updated version will flow down to Activestate so end
users can get 32/64bit ppm packages?

Indeed, thanks to KMX for this.
I believe that Activestate generally pull source from CPAN and build their
PPMs from that.

Activestae build status for Win32-GUi can be found here:

Builds are currently for v1.06, although it seems there indexer already
recognises that v1.07 is available. I can't comment on the timescales for
them to update builds.
