I'd like to see a close up image of the wing. It seems consistent with a phorid or 'scuttle' fly. If so, it may have emerged from a waste pipe (hopefully not a broken one). It could also have derived from the carcass of an animal. Richard J. Pollack, PhD HARVARD UNIVERSITY Environmental Health,
