Hello All: I still really like this logo, the pinhole is like the shape of the earth and the other oval is like the projection map we looked at. Both give the feeling of the earth... etc while communicating what we do, which is photography (pinhole) - we are showing a few changing pinhole photos within The color of the oval is pleasing - and the whole design does not look like clip art (thank god) which is what the other items impression (for me) is. I am critical about the other submissions as I have been a graphic designer for more than a decade —— looking at symbols as language (and design is a language), designing icons for businesses and so on. Again as mentioned before - Pam's logo is friendly and I hope everyone will consider this as it effectively gets our message across very well... Lets hold on a bit. I don't mind paying $13 for the first year, but before we start getting ahead of yourselfs. Remember this might happen this year and then fizzle out next year. How about if I take care of the first year, and then we see what happens. It's been a long time ago but, I did collect $8.00 from the membership when it looked like we were going to have to pay for having a non advertized discussion list. Thanks to Gregg Kemp who came up with the alturnitive that we are all using now. BTW Thanks Greg. I then asked if we wanted to put this and other future funds towards becoming a Contributing member to the Pinhole Resorce. At that time I was hoping to collect between $50-$75 and I would kick in the rest, but all I recivied was $4. To tell you the truth I had forgotten about this until Guy suggested sending me money. I thought of that, and it bothers me a bit. I will look around to see if I can find that shows a diffrent part of the earth. Maybe we can have more then one. BTW I got the image from the NASA web site. It is my understanding that NASA does not copyright most of there images, but I have sent a message to them just to make sure.
