I haven't been able to get the station changing working for a while, but
the now playing info works fine for me.
According to discussion on the LastFM forums, now playing is broken for
most 3rd party players, so it's a bit puzzling that it works for me!
I'm looking into using the new protocol
Voila - it works! (at least MP3)
Had to insert an -x in the parameters for the lame decode part, and
then -be as you suggested after InguzDSP (I am indeed on a G5).
It now looks like this:
mp3 flc * 00:04:20:06:4e:d6
[lame] --mp3input --decode -t -x --silent $FILE$ - - | [InguzDSP] -be
Is it just my memory failing me, or did I read somewhere that you can
play music from LastFM URLs using SlimServer?
In other words, if I'm on the LastFM website, and I select a LastFM
URL, such as
http://www.last.fm/listen/user/someusername/recommended/0
then it will play using SlimServer
Instructions to do this are on the LastFM plugin help page, which is
linked at the bottom of the LastFM page within SlimServer itself
(assuming you already have it installed).
The only thing is, I suspect this won't actually work any more, given
the ongoing issues with LastFM which you can read
Greg, I haven't had time to mess with this in quite awhile. Does the
latest release still include tide data? Also, is a specific version of
SS required?

For the ALC filetype, try removing the -be parameter in the [mov123]
line. (The -be parameter for InguzDSP swaps byte order for
big-endian data, like -x for LAME).
For AIFF, try surrounding $FILE$ with quotes, in the 'aif flc' line.
(I don't know why SlimServer doesn't quote the full path, it
I tried removing -be, but still just noise.
Is there anything that can be done *before* the InguzDSP parameters?
With the MP3/Lame I had to insert both the -x and the -be to get it
to work. Is there a similar swap command for mov123?
Also, AIFF still not working, even with the quotes. Same
Hi all,
I've just had a quick go at making this plugin work with 6.5.1, and
have made some progress. Indeed, apart from the fact that it's not
really using the 6.5 handles, and the way that messages are truncated
on playback, it seems to work.
I think the truncation is caused by whatever
I am trying to create a multi library, but when I try to, I get a
message saying: Error: No custom dir configured
I cannot download last version of existing libraries either: It says I
have to specify af template directory.
Where it says: Choose a sub library of music to activate: there is
Problem solved. Just restarted the computer!

Hey Kyle-
Haven't seen any posts from you in a while. The tide stuff for your
area only works with the beta version
Brilliant!
I am busy this weekend, but hopefully next weekend I will have a look
your changes ago.
Andy.
