Hi all,
I've been on holiday so haven't had a chance to look any further than this:
I believe the LastFM service changed to require an application key when logging
in, which the plugin does not have.
I have to see if adding the key resolves the issue, then see if LastFM will
give me one.
But
Hi all,
I am guessing that LastFM have turned off the legacy radio service that
SqueezeScrobbler uses.
To be honest I do not plan on fixing this as it would require a complete
rewrite of the plugin code.
However, if anyone knows differently and it's just a minor change that's
required let me
I guess this is because there's some MySQL specific code in the plugin and 7.4
has switched back to MySQL.
Are many people still using SqueezeScrobbler?
I expect the radio side of the plugin is either going to or already has stopped
working, and I don't plan to update it any more.
Is it worth

I thought you could just change your location in SqueezeNetwork?
Does that not work any more?

In SqueezeCentre 7.1, the official LastFM plugin can replace all
SqueezeScrobbler functionality.
(The official plugin is the one in the Music Services menus)
There was a change made in the server which broke the plugin, hence the 1.1.12
release.
However, the only real reason to use
I believe there's a link to the log in the web interface (in the settings
page?),
or you could try searching the forum or wiki for details on it's location in
the filesystem.
I know it's moved so I'm not really sure of the definitive location.
James
OK so the problem is no new plugins are installing?
What do you have in d:\squeezecenter\server\plugins\squeezescrobbler (You
should have for example an install.xml file) ?
I think the plugins are case sensitive as well, so that should be
SqueezeScrobbler if it isn't already.

Those are the correct files (all plugin components are bundled into the .par

Have you restarted SqueezeCentre after installing the plugin?
From the SqueezeCentre web interface can you see a LastFM menu option under

James
Thanks but I think any interesting bit has been removed by the forum because it
was too long.

Hi JJ,
Sorry, I forgot about this. I haven't tried changing stations from the
controller for a while...
I won't be able to check until next week.
You could try looking in the server log file and see if there are any obvious
errors.
James
Hmmm. Checked out http://www.audioscrobbler.net/development/protocol/
and as you say, no reference to specifying tags. So, James, how did you do it?
I read the source code for the official LastFM player and figured it out from
that.
The LastFM documentation is not to be relied upon...
James
Hi Pippin,
The favourites functionality didn't work as well when I started the plugin as
it does now.
Your suggestion seems like a good idea, but I don't really spend much time on
the plugin these days.
Shouldn't that official plugin be along 'soon' by now? ;-)
James
That is the correct path - it does not map directly to a real path on your
server.

I don't believe this issue has anything to do with the plugin itself,

Wl, I did fix a bug last night that was corrupting the passwords
when you changed any other settings, so it's not impossible that I
introduced a new one.
Although I did test changing my password and other settings
independently, I never tried entering a new login or starting from

Great thanks.
Won't be able to post a fix until tomorrow unfortunately (can't access
the source).
The line indicated needs to check that the variable is defined (user
accounts already exist), while it's checking to see if the passwords
have changed.
