[pmapper-users] coordinate problem

Hi,
i'm italian new user of pmapper.
i'm subscribed also in the italian GFOSS list, but there no one give me the 
way to solve my problem.
The problem:
Some days ago i've installed the new version of apache (2.2.3) in my debian 
system lenny.
I also installed php 5.2.10 and mapserver 4.10, and it seems work fine.
Then i tried to install pmapper 3.1. I made a tast with the default 
application (the shape are: countries, rivers, cities, europe_dem.jpg).
The application seems work but there is a problem with the coordinate X and 
Y, with the scale, and with the scale bar.they don't work right!
What is the problem?
Could be a problem with php_mapscript.so???
Could someone give me help?

[pmapper-users] Problems with pmapper

Hi,
i've got many problems yet with pmapper application.
I hope to solve the problem right now, with your help.
Now i'm going to explain my case
I'm using a notebook toshiba satellite m60-162 with debian 4.0 lenny, kernel 
2.6.18.4, apache 2.2.3, php 5.2.0-10+lenny1, mapserver 4.10.0, php_mapscript 
version 1.260.
If i point my browser firefox at file info.php (?php phpinfo(); ?) i'm able 
to see the php info page with also mpaserver module and php_mapscript, is 
that ok?, i think yes...
Then if i point my browser firefox at file mapscript_test.php (?php dl 
(php_mapscript.so); phpinfo(); ?) i'm able to see the same php info page 
with also mpaserver module and php_mapscript, but in that case at the first 
line i see:
WARNING: Module 'MapScript' already loaded in UNKNOWN online 0
(is that a problem?)
Now if i point firefox at http://localhost/cgi-bin/mapserv
I'm able to see:
No query information to decode. QUERY_SRING is set, but empty. (is that 
okisn't it?)
At this point i downloaded thedemo-data to test mapserver, theat are 
Mapserver Itasca Application, the application it seem work!
I'm thinking that mapserver is working...but i'm not sure of 
php_mapscript...
After that i've installed pmapper 3.1.0 with the sample date (cities, river, 
countries, europa.jpg), then i modified in the file globals.php the line 57 
about the php_mascript version, because i'm using a debian system
Then i cheked and modified the file config.ini, like pmapper version, 
php_mapscript version (blank), the path of pmapper_demo.map.
Then i modified the path in the pmapper_demo.map, for exaple the shp path, 
the path of the directory tmp (privileges 777), the privileges of 
/image/legend
At this point i start the application with start.html, i choose the link end 
a new window it's open, but in the centre i've a black area, in the hand of 
the legend it seems work with the symbols, in the bottom of the map the 
coordinates X Y doesn't work, in the left the zoom bar doesn't work...In the 
reference map, i 've a point instead a red square outside of the reference 
map.
That's all...
Could someone help me?

[pmapper-users] search.xml

Hi to all!
I've got a problem with a pmapper 3.1 project, in particular with search.xml 
files. 
I'm using a just one pmapper directory for 8 map in my project.
I've prepared 8 config directory, inside:
/var/www/pmapper/config/
for each directory i've php_config.php and search.xml,
but i've got the search combo box only in the first map that use
search.xml inside the default directory in /var/www/pmapper/config/
I've put the path in the config file, but it doesn't work.
What is the problem?

[pmapper-users] strangeness

Hi to all,
i prepared a webmap application with mapserver-5.0 and pmapper-3.2.
I got a problem, vary strange, in the legend. When i click on + to open a 
legend of the layer
in a group, that i created before, it close the group and it doesn't permit me 
to se the legend.
I used the value=1 in the config.ini file to use the group, but the strange is 
that the other group that i created
work fine, i'm able to see all the layer's legend in each group.
Only this group have this problem. In this group i have only two layer, the 
first work fine the second no.
I tried also to change the group name...but doesn't work.
Which is the problem? What can i do to solve this   
inconvenience.

[pmapper-users] zoomQuery

Hi to all,
i'm using pmapper3.2 yet,
now i'd like to give the parameters to zoom to a selected item.
I'm trying to use this line:
http://localhost/my_project/map.phtml?winsize=largelanguage=itconfig=zoomLayer=my_layerzoomquery...@0@5740...@1@0
the application return me the right object selected, 
but the extention is wrong, because all layer stay in a point,
if i zoom many time i'm able to have the map in right extention and see the 
item selected with the colored boundary.
I don't know why...
my_layer's epgs=4326, and also the project.
The extent of the project is = 5.00 35.000 20.000 50.000 and the unit is =dd
I supose the problem is around the proj of the layer, isen't it?
Any suggests?
Is there an other way or other parameters to use to have that result?

[pmapper-users] problems with legend

Hi to all,

i've two problem with pmapper-4.0.0-beta and InterneExplorer:

one is on the legend, i've many items and some of them are hidden

behind reference map, doesen't appear sliding bar, whereas in the layer

tab i got it. I'm using legend swap mode. (it happens olso with Opera, but not 
with firefox or chrome)

The second problem: when i try to export the map in pdf file,
the result has a bad layout, with some lines come over each other,
or agrave; is printed instead à.

Could someone help me?

[pmapper-users] Function Split() deprecated

Hi to all,recently i have updated my server from debian lenny to 
squezze.Consequently also php pass from 5.2 to updated 
5.3.3-7+squezze9.Mapserver is at version   5.6.5-2+squeeze2 and I'm using the

The main error I guess is:

This pmapper project deploy the old 3.2 version with mapserver 6.0, that's why 
I had to move the application from an old (ubuntu-server 9.04) server to a new 
one (ubuntu-server 12.04).

I tested the map file using:

http://myserver_address.net/cgi-bin/mapserv?map=/dati/var_www/web_data/bdng_map/bdng.map

and it seems working since I had the image under /tmp directory


What can be the reason of the above error?

[pmapper-users] FastCGI problems

I must use php fastcgi module for apache, since the classical php module was in 
conflict with other packages (python).

[pmapper-users] Problems on TOC, was [RE: layers list disappeared]

Hi everybody,

after a long day of googling it seemed my problem was on config file, which 
hadn't the tags .
Firstly I have to specify that my config file included the categories tags, and 
of course the 
values of UI  was set to 1.
Actually I don't understand why, up two days ago, the application works fine 
anyway
By the way I rearranged the config file by adding the  tag, including 
all the layers I have.
Now pmapper load the map but in the TOC I have a lot of 
Notice: Undefined variable: dynamicClasses 
in/var/www/html/wm_geothopica/incphp/layerview.phpon line 218
and in the end this worning:

Moreover the application doesn't work fine, for instance the identify function

Can anybody help me to understand what happened?

Hi all,

I was just working to refresh a running application setup some years ago.
Up to yesterday, during the refresh operations, everything works fine.
Just to clarify, the update work consisted only in adding a pair of new layers
and two tiles services as basemaps.
Pmapper is in version 4 and mapserver 6.4.1 configured with fastCGI.
Today the application gives problems, the interface is well loaded, but it is 
empty,
no layers are displayed on the list of contents.
Any idea on what happened?

Hi Armin,

as I said php is set with fastcgi module in apache, so I checked 
in /etc/php5/fpm/ 
php.ini, php-fpm.ini
the config you mention on quickinstall guide,
and all it seems to be as you suggest:

display_errors = Off (I turned off following your suggestion)
session.use_trans_sid = 0 : set to 0 in order to be compliant with W3C XHTML 
Strict 
session.auto_start = 0
session.use_cookies = 0
only 
session.save_path is not set.

By the way, the problem still remains.

[pmapper-users] layers list disappeared

Hi all,

I was just working to refresh a running application setup some years ago.
Up to yesterday, during the refresh operations, everything works fine.
Just to clarify, the update work consisted only in adding a pair of new layers
and two tiles services as basemaps.
Pmapper is in version 4 and mapserver 6.4.1 configured with fastCGI.
Today the application gives problems, the interface is well loaded, but it is 
empty,
no layers are displayed on the list of contents.
Any idea on what happened?
