Hi Chad, Yes XWpro 6848 is a drop-in replacement. Exact fit & all connections are the same as way back to 2006 when the "grey box" XW 6048 was sold. You need a connext insight home or facility device to do the initial configuration. It is a one time need for the insight home device to set

Wrenches, We have a client that had us construct a solar trailer for them back in 2014-2015 timeframe. The Current XW6048-120/240-60 is cooked and I'm wondering if the Schneider rep (or you savvy off grid guys) on here could tell me if the newer XW Pro 6.8kW 120/240 is an exact drop in

Wrenches I have always used 50 miles per hr as this works well, sure the 3600 rpm unit runs faster but 2000 hrs is 10 miles and unless you have a prime mover that's about right. I see many with well over 10,000 hrs. Had one last week do 1000 hrs in a month. On Tue, Oct 24, 2023, 4:50 AM Dana

William, The charge controllers could operate in open loop, while the SMA did close the loop. Open loop works really well for charge controllers. I question if the closed loop communication was really working correctly if the SI is reporting 50% SOC when the batteries are reporting 95%… The SI

It’s a very poorly designed system. But it is possible to view the full error code on the webbox, but only while it is an active error. I don’t have a webbox online right now to advise exactly what parameter but it was near the bottom of the long list, and the description is not very precise.

Hi William, That’s an interesting idea to have close loop comms with two separate manufacturers at the same time. In theory I think this could work, but unfortunately, I don’t think SMA and Schneider share the same protocol # for the eVault. I believe SMA uses protocol #2 and Schneider uses #5.

Hello Mick, Here is what I'd do: Check compression on each cylinder, look for psi of about 90(ish). Also verify they are about the same (within a couple of percent). If its way out of this range, stop here. If they think they've gotten at least 5000 run hours, I'd stop here. These air cooled
