Enable support for your root filesystem type in the new kernel. Most
likely ReiserFS is needed.

Userspace Java is perfectly fine - it behaves as any other user process.
Communication to the realtime code has to communicate through the
normal channels. FIFOs behave just as they would otherwise, with normal
Java file I/O. MBuff/JNI bindings can be found at
- it is a first cut, and while it works, it needs more
testing. I think it would be handy for those who want to crank out
management apps quickly, so they can devote more time to the realtime
components.
