cross the trestle in the adjoining field to my grandfather's farm in Bedford.

I was thinking that folks would like a definition to distinguish between the
different kinds of S-sized trains. For decades now, 'AF' meant Gilbert Flyer
and 'scale' meant conforming to NMRA/NASG specs and 'hi-rail' meant everything

Anyone have experience with TCS decoders?

A local train buddy and fellow member of BASS has conducted controlled testing
to compare various brands of decoders to each other. The focus of this testing
was primarily on slow smooth starts and stops. I believe he used AM diesels
. Derailments would be common and the cars would be very heavy
to lift back onto the tracks. Yes, I'd find fault with it for sure. And then
there is the air pressure release each time a loco is uncoupled from the rest
of the train. Yuk

Dumb question, but I have to ask: Is the tubing ACC'd to the shaft or is the
natural inherant stretch of the tubing sufficient to hold it firmly without

First, there are several sizes of silicone fuel tubing. These have a LOT
of stretch, and you want to get
horses pulling plows on their fields at that time. I
believe, in this area, most of the farmers were of Japanese heritage. The area
near the intersection (now a monster cloverleaf) of the Newport Freeway and San
Diego freeway always had farms with horses hard at work. Ed Loizeaux

Yep, they did say that. But it was not a NYC SD70. They obtained a UP SD70.
Here is why some confusion exists: Some SD70 locos have an alternate product
number in the Lionel
You can run the new Lionel engine on any DDC system and not need the Lionel
Legacy system.
