I have ordered Vitamin C powder and have received the buffered type by mistake.
I think it has magnesium to neutralize the acid. A pound of it has less Vitamin
C in it than a pound of ascorbic acid, because of the magnesium or other
buffer. Therefore, it seems to me that you would need to use
Hi, Lois.
I did put a piece of Dove soap under my bed sheet and it helped. It was the
sliver that is left when you take it out of the shower. Maybe a whole bar would
work better, but I didn't want to keep banging my toes into it.
Thanks,
Dick

Doug, I think you're wrong about this, but I'm willing to be proved
otherwise. Do you have any references for this? Sodium ascorbate should be
pretty close to neutral pH (7) but ascorbic acid is acidic (don't know the
pH). I would think injecting anything acidic would be a bad idea...

You can check the product label to be sure (they are not all the same), but in
general, Magnesium Ascorbate is about 87% ascorbic acid, Calcium Ascorbate is
about 90% ascorbic acid, and Sodium Ascorbate is 89% ascorbic acid. This means
you need to take about 15% extra.

suppose to reduce blood pressure and leg cramps. So far it has not noticably

H I wonder how it works. I find the 6v battery to be too strong
sometimes so 27v would probably be way too strong for me. I know with the
battery system we switch polarity every 3-5 minutes so maybe it is switching
polarity.
I'm intrigued ... :-)
