I have heard from many reputable sources that it is better to break the dose into four separate doses during the day, but I have also been told it is better to take it on an empty stomach, so that makes taking four doses somewhat problematic. I look forward to the answers you will get. Jill

Depends on what you are trying to achieve. If you experience sudden intestinal cramping and diarrhea, you want to get quite a bit in rather quickly. For chronic conditions, I think it is best to space it out and keep the blood level relatively constant for a long period. sol Deborah Gerard
