: Re: CSCS: NitrATE and NitrITE
This must be why my wife's doctors have urged her to avoid virtually
all deli meats. She is subject to daily migraines and nitrites are a known
trigger, probably due to their vasodilation function.
Maybe I should be looking for a vaso-constrictor

My experience lately has been the impossibility of finding Deli-meats ,ie
Bacon,Ham,etc. preserved with NITRATE, which does have some benefical
attributes. However, NITRITE is what I do find, and that one is highly
detrimental to ones health.

My experiencelately has beenthe impossibilityof finding Deli-meats ,ie
anyone
know if Nitrate can occur naturaly without curing. They both taste just as good
as any of the other packaged meat products.
