Whatever you do DON'T have articaine (Septocaine) used on
you. This 4%
solution (lido is a 2% solution) is TOXIC to your lingual
and IAN nerves and
can cause permanent paresthesia/dysesthesia
Yes the needle is put into the gap at the back between the topo bottom
jaws - can also affect the throat swallowing - there is little margin for
error back there.

Hi. Today I went to the mercury safe dentist. His office was beautiful, the
staff kind and competent, and everything went well. They had me select a movie
and put headphones on (this really helped!) While drilling the filling out,
they wore
Yay!!! Doin' the Happy Dance here for you!! :-D I didn't know that you had
decided to go to a mercury-safe dentist, Pat -- I'm so glad that you did. And
so happy that everything went so well. You made a wise decision -- five stars

You know, I would not have had the courage to go to a new dentist if not for
all
of you guys standing behind me. Actually, I wouldn't even have heard about
mercury-safe dentists. You people are the best!!!
Thanks,
Pat

Pat -- I meant to ask you -- the cost for drilling out the old filling and then
placing a crown on the tooth cost under $1,000.00? I need to know the name and
location of your dentist -- mine quoted me double that for the same work!!

It was Dr. Palmer in Greenville, SC. The small fillings are $197
each to replace. Unfortunately, I probably won't be getting the small
fillings redone until problems with them occur. The husband is saying he
doesn't believe
they could get
them out in two
appointments, probably 45 min to an hour. I'm so glad I went there.

Oh well done!! That sounds overall a great experience - when I had mine done
they did each mouth quarter at a time (most of my teeth were filled) so
it was 4 sessions.

Just an FYIIF IF IF there is any overlaying illness such as chronic
fatigue/fibromyalgia/hypothyroidism/MCS/EI present we may not clear the usual
local mouth anesthesia of have a mild reaction we have considered normal just
because it is the way we have always felt after dental work
