The error message was

Presumably, I'm missing a font.
Can anyone suggest a remedy, please?

I was looking for some speech recognition software for use with Ubuntu.
I was told not to overlook Dragon's package, running under WINE.
Also one called palaver.
And some others.
Has anybody any experience of this type of software?

I've been putting some oval boxes around some data.
Ovalbox is drawn with thickline
All well and good. But how do I go about thickening the border to about one
millimetre?
I've not come across any method thus far.

Well, I started a project: to set a book, properly.
Front cover first.
Found image with great taste.
Did the research. Use wallpaper package, they said.
Wrote simple program. Herewithunderbeneath:

When last I used it, the command was dos2unix and I needed a dos file line
ends converted
When I mentioned this to a friend he sniffed and mentioned Tyrannosaus rex.
Can anyone tell me what the latest command is, please? While you're doing
it I'll look for some new friends.

the BCM4313 into action. Not sure how to do this. As far as I can
see from Step 3, there *are* no specific drivers for this adapter; so I
should find generic, or proprietary drivers and instal then.

So, armed with the information from SLUG, I asked around about transferring
the
contacts list from the old SIM to the replacement.
Received the usual: no, no, no much easier to do it this way...Hey Ho.
I did receive one suggestion that made sense: copy the contacts list to
the phone itself,
Wishing to switch ISP.
Have other ISPs SIM, with instructions to activate it.
There's no mention of the phone list on/in my old SIM.
Have I to save it somewhere?
It's an HTC Velocity.

At present, the Smartboard software in my school runs only
on Windows and, whilst it works, it still grates to use Windows.

I've just loaded Fedora 6 to a laptop.
I don't greatly care for the desktop backgrounds that come with it.
Does anyone know of a site that has some others?
Something with taste and sensitivity. Nothing involving
Zealanders and sheep, for example.

Many thanks to tose who responded to my query.
I now have a laptop with a 100GB internal hard
drive and the former HD is now in an external
HD holder.
I'd like to connect the (Microsoft) external hard
drive to the (Fedora) laptop to use as needed
(occasionally). I'm told that, to do this:---
(a)
I have the opportunity to a) upgrade to Fedora 5 and b) buy a Seagate
160MB internal hard drive, hopefully to facilitate the Fedora.
It's a Fujitsu S Series Lifebook.
I've not done this before. Would the new hard drive fit the laptop and
would it give the BIOS a hard time?
