Hi All,
If any have built a DAW I26 HLG as a Polyhedral version, I would
appreciate any input. I'd like to get it as light as possible. What size
battery pack was used?
Did you have to add any ballast to the nose?
What size/kind of servos did you use?
What kind of rx?
Any other recommendations
Yes, modern hlgs will take the stress of a javelin run up toss and that is
what most people are using. Launch speeds are in the 70 plus feet per sec
range. A bad throw can do wing damage if you hang on too long and pull down
or if you bounce up during the run.
My discus style launch is by

Does testing email and just sending it to yourself act any differently then
if you post to the airage server and broadcast your test to hundreds of people?
Just curious.

I'm not very experienced but I built it with a 110mAh pack (no nose weight), Cirrus
25's, and the standard R600 JR Rx. I like the
plane a lot and it flies well for what I know. It is easy to bulid and fly.

Does anyone have any experience with the Graupner Soarmaster? It looks nice
and seems to be reasonable priced, but how does it fly and launch?
Thanks

Fellow flyers,
I have a friend who needs info about RC soaring in the Albuquerque
area. He is interested in slope and thermal flying sites.
Thanks,

Hi Garret,
I'm pretty new to RC Soaring but am very happy with my 1-26. I built the
poly version and used HS81 servos and a standard micro Futaba reviever. I
did not cover the corroplast elevator and rudder and I suspect this saved a
little weight ...'way back there' !! I ended up adding a very

I have a ASW-24 by FVK Models. Does anyone have any experience with this
model. I'm in the process of putting it togeather, and thought I would ask
the list.
It's really well done, and looks like it will come out very lite.
Thanks in advance Gary M. Elko NV.
My thinking is, dive test can lead me to trim my plane (if there is any
thing left for me to trim from post design and mfg.) towards a common
dynamic platform (characteristic) through that I can benefit from my prior
flying experience/skill/coordination for my other planes also trim that
way, and

Decolage (sp?) refers to the angle of the stab relative to the wing. since
almost all glass sailplane kits(what I fly mostly) have the wing root molded
into the fuselage ,I don't concern myself with the Datum or such. All that
does is determines how the fuse is carried relative to the wing,
