I too have been a subscriber from the start. The oldest post in my
Humor folder is from November, 1995 and I did not save earlier posts.
Early on, I realized that there was a lot of good information from
real experts so began saving the technical posts in separate
folders. Some of the
Most of my planes are on a Futaba 9C super on channel 40. Seems my Ch 40
module is getting a bit flakey. Anyone got one cheap they want to get rid
of? If not, I will probably get the synth module to replace it, but I
prefer the single channel modules. They use a lot less power.
Best regards,
Ed,
Forget about a 72MHZ module. Contact Horizon Hobbies or your local hooby
shop and get a 2.4 GHZ transmitter module AND a 7000 full range receiver
for just $110. I just installed this in one of my radios and my decond
Supra fude and it works like a champ!

I have two 9C Supers. One has a 2.4 GHz Spectrum module in it and 4
receivers. This handles my slope planes primarily. Over time I will
migrate all to this.
The other is on 72 MHz. I use both. I am not ready to replace the 12
receivers I have now on 72 MHz. I have ch 35 and 55 modules also,
This is a typical post from the good old days when RCSE was
young. But like all of us, RCSE declined with age. This is what
made RCSE so great. Now all we get is what is the latest and
greatest moldy and who won the last contest. Maybe it is time for
RCSE to depart.
This was the first
All that I have read is that the synth modules use more power than the
single channel modules. Perhaps the Futaba Synth is different. Any way,
for the cost of one 2.4 GHz receiver, I can keep all my 72 MHz stuff flying
on their current channel. That is worth it for now.
Best regards,
Ed
Its been a great resource for me over the years and the best place for
announcements, contacts, items for sale etc. A big thanks to all the folks who
helped keep it going thru the years.

Many many thanks to Airage and especially to you for doing this great
thing for so many years. I hope that whatever replaces it can do as
well.

Hi Guys,
I hope someone can help. My computer has been down, and I am using a new
one. I no longer have my Compufoil program loaded, but I need to generate
and forward a .cor file ASAP. Can someone please create a NACA 0018 and send
to me please?
Sorry to see RCSE go.
Thx
D
Ed,
I forgot to mention that the transmitter will use LES power with the
synth module and you won't see any difference with your receiver. Its
the servos that drain the receiver battery.

Ed,
Its certainly true for XPS and Spectrum, and its the Spectrum I am
recommending, because the deal is so good.
What happens is that even though the 2.4GHZ transmits at greater power
than 72MHZ, they transmit in packets and between packets the transmitter
isn't sending any signal. The net
I like Google Groups much better than Yahoo Groups. The web based
interface to Yahoo Groups is terrible and the email distribution of the
two is comparable.

OK, you can stop sending them now. ;-)

Wait, I just read up on the demise of RCSE. If Gordy is elected president,
he can fix this with our tax dollars.
Is there no free/cheap list server out there that we could auto-subscribe us

REDACTION: The google group is superior. Disregard the effort of creating a

I concur with Anker. Yahoo groups lacks for our type of usage.
Google is simple (like a Mac) and Yahoo is difficult, convoluted and
tedious (like Windows).
I am using the abridged option which is slick, quick and doesn't
keep asking for passwords. Groups has it's place but Google
The Google group is a nice addition. I¹ve used Google Reader for my news;
it¹s an excellent interface. Very easy to understand.
Hope our list doesn¹t get too diluted across the web.
