Interesting - this actually worked. I still can't start Soft on the usual account, so I guess I will have to proceed with deleting it and rename the new working one. Lots of crap to reestablish though. Bummer. It would be really nice to know how it can become corrupted like this. Last thing I did

I reinstalled this morning - still no joy, so Svens user account trick got me running again. I had tried running it as admin, but that doesn't work either. I have only previously run in to startup crashes that would be fixed by renaming prefs - this one is new, and somewhat worrying. MB Den

Hi All I am trying to track down a video. For the life of me I cannot remember where I saw it. Its a student project piece where one of the students uses Houdini to procedurally model a town. I was fairly sure it was on cgpress.org but i just cant seem to find it. Anyone remember this.

There is a hidden folder in the system drive with a set of files that usually don't get Uninstalled with SI and is not its preference and settings folder. It contains license data I think. I had a similar error. But renaming or deleting said folder fixed it (after reinstalling dozens of
