There also is another issue with /etc/hosts, apart from the wrong first line mentioned before. I can't recall it exactly, but if it isn't setup correctly you get errors in SI, and not being able to connect to DisplayHost (or whatever) sounds exactly like that. Actually that one was driving me nuts
