Hello. How advanced is the pattern matching for whitelist_senders?
Can I write something like: shiptrade*@mobileemail.vodafone.gr and
hope that it gets understood to mean shiptrade1, shiptrade2, etc?
(An actual issue I have right now)
Thanks, -turgut
Many thanks - I somehow failed to read or digest what you had
written.. *blush*

Hi there. what is the correct format for the whitelist_senders file?
I want to whitelist an entire domain with a borked DNS in the whitelist..
Do I do
Thank you, but these domains would like to be exempt from spamdyke for
their INCOMING mail.
Something like receiver-whitelist-file= option I guess..

Hi.. I seem to have a loop with facebook, the header containing hundreds

Btw, it's hopeless trying to contact Facebook over such issues.
God, I hate big companies with free services.

I had the same problem -- because someone from China is brute-forcing
all info@... accounts.. Once they find an easy password, they abuse
it with millions of spam..
- wrote code to check everyone's passwords for easyness (?) and forced
ppl to change their passwords -- or I changed it for
Btw, did anyone else notice it: If in an SMTP batch, one local user is
over quota or undeliverable, none of the other recipients gets a copy of
the mail?
Even for a mailing list.. One local recipient was over quota, no one got
a copy of postings until I cleared that user's quota..

I recently banned all of China from smtp_auth on my server.. No
complaints from legitimate customers so far -- China ranges are
available on the net.
fail2ban is great, use that too.. Perhaps connections-per-source
limiting from xinetd is also a good idea.. Good luck.. -t

hi there. Many of the users who use our servers for SMTP use an
alternate port. So far I didn't have spamdyke running on that port (it
was only running port 25), but I just started it. I disabled many of
its checks, such as missing RDNS, as many of them do not have a reverse
DNS entry

Authenticated users pass all tests, so as long as your local users

Thank you for your feedback.

Hi there. I recently enabled spamdyke, but when someone uses the horde

Any ideas what to do?

Hi there.. I recently noticed in horror that a GUI change that I made
via PLESK 12 had removed my spamdyke from /etc/xinetd.d/smtp_psa
Upon reinstating:
server_args = -Rt0 /usr/local/bin/spamdyke
/var/qmail/bin/relaylock /usr/sbin/rblsmtpd -r bl.spamcop.net
/var/qmail/bin/qmail-smtpd
ecompiling with excessive output and either
changing your log level to excessive or using the full-log-dir option
to capture a session (which will show the excessive output).
