the height of the sun at local noon is 90° - your latitude + sun's
declination.
If you look at the declination table at

you can easily find for any date the sun's height at local noon.

I wrote an application in PostScript a couple of years ago that printed out the
meridian transit times for a particular sundial site. So I dusted it off and
put in your longitude and created charts for 2005 and 2006 in PDF format.
You can find them at:
I've been marking the ceiling exactly at noon PST and just also started
to include noon PDT.
It would be interesting to add a line for when the Sun is South and for

exact time when the Sun is South?

The Spring satellite blockage of my Starband internet service has
ended.I was able to make a number of marks on the ceiling sundial
that outline the March 2005 blockage between 2 and 10 March 2005. I
only have one day's data for 4 Oct. 2004 and will need to wait for Oct.

Hello Brook,
to calculate the exact values of the position of the Sun in sky, you may use
the program SUN_EPH that has been attached to Compendium June 2003, Email

date. Today, 3 Feb. 2005 the Sun at 12:00:00 noon was at the same place it was
on 6 Nov. 2004 and if I read my writing correctly at

I have started this project. I found that a simple lipstick mirror secured
to a decorative molding piece anchored mid-way within the window frame works

Hello everybody, I must say, I like to read your mails, all who gave there
opinion show they want to contribute, in fact that is what a forum is for.
So here is mine: why not start by obtaining the local meridian IN the house
first, that is what the people
in the past did first.
