I run pfsense 1.0 Beta2 on a Intel 845GV chipset motherboard with 1 celeronD
2.13G hz CPU and 256M RAM ,1G Compact flash card.
and 4 82550 NIC and 2 Intel GB NIC
when I logon the webgui ,I think the mainmenu repsonce is too slower ,when I
move the mouse on the mainmenu , I will see the
Connect the box to the Internet and all problems (hopefully) should be gone.
The package manager is getting the packages from pfsense.com. There will be a
nicer notice about missing connectivity in the next version instead of showing
the php error.
Your response problem might be related to this

Turn it off and 99% it will work...
