I have had a similar slow boot process with 1.2RC4 when my WAN connection (which uses DHCP) is unavailable. It took almost 15 minutes to boot the other day. When it finally came up I noticed no WAN IP so I reset my ISPs device got an IP then rebooted pfSense and it came right up. So if it is
