Has anyone found a good use for the left over liquids after you have
distilled your brew? If so I would love to know about it. I am already
feeding the mash mixed in with my dairy cow barn ration. But what about the
waste water? Thank a bunch, Terry
I'm new to this group and would like to join in the fun of being

I have a 2.5kw water-cooled Diesel generator that I am setting up to run
part of the house and to extract heat from both the exhaust/engine coolant
for heating the house.

How was the hydrogen produced?
From petrofuels, that's how!
Using 130% of the energy to produce, plus another 30% to compress, that
makes it 160% more polluting.
Spin!

Where did the gas and petroleum come from?
Non-sustainable and polluting.

Yes, you're right, we've talked about this before, but...
that makes it 160% more polluting.

Well, of course it's spin. Natural gas is cleaner at the tailpipe,
but not anywhere else (except in the minds of Big Oil spin doctors).
Hybrids are interesting though. A good hybrid running on
No intention to do that. I don't have the set up to dry the mash as much as
it needs to be to get the dry matter down in the feed. Nor the capability to
produce enough mash to feed another farm. So I let it sit as long as
possible to dry out as much as possible(air dry), yet not sour on me.
Could you let us all know how your cogen works out? Interested in doing
same. I've considered using a strawbale structure for genshack, for cheap
insul and soundproofing.
Thanks!

Hi Eric!
Because of energy prices in NJ, I want to produce small batches of
Biodiesel. I like the New Foolproof (Aleks Kac's) method that uses
sulfuric acid, but have no idea where to get the chemicals with the
needed
purity, even though NJ is a big producer of industrial chemicals.

Catalytic convertors contribute to pollution-magazine

Sorry, chaps, but you don't get nothing for nothing!
Hydrogen is a secondary fuel - an intermediary between an energy source and
it's use. Even made by electrolysis, it takes energy to break the H from
the O2 - then you can use the H to re-combine with O to make the squeaky
clean H2O again -
This one seems nice : http://www.sciencealliance.com/

Hi Kieth and All,
I agree with Terry on H2 for fuel for the same
reasons. Above the ineff of producing the gas the
problems of storing enough to go more than 100 miles
in a vehicle have not been solved. Even if the storage
problem is solved a vehicle that ineff will lose in
the future

Thanks to Jerry for agreeing with the hydrogen energy balance - now let's
see whether I can talk him the same way regarding electric vehicles.
Where does the electricity come from? It is again a secondary energy
source and dependant on the initial generation. If from the grid, then it
