MM,
I thought that I was loosing this very interesting issue. Regarding links
of appliances, we can revisit SunDanzer.

Having installed slide dimmers on all my lights in the house I got
to thinking that doing the same to the turbine (drill) style mixer
would better be able to control the vortex ect... by controlling
the amount of source energy as well as lower the total electricity

Actually Hakan, I thought you pretty much covered the topic for electric motors
at
a high level. For me, the AC vs. DC decision comes down to what each one is
good
at. I have some experience with the subject (and the electric vehicles and
appliances from antique to modern to back that up).
Thanks Darryl,
I appreciate your explanation and your support. Because of several factors,
the common equipment for compressors are very in inefficient, especially
AC/Heat pump units. The way they have been designed and then dimensioned,
are a great robbery and rip off. The customers know
Peter,
In my reply to Stan I said: Another common way for an engine to overspeed
using it's crankcase oil is
via seals in the turbo or blower.
Common is the wrong word. It is in fact very uncommon.
Also, your point about getting well clear of an engine in a run-away condition
is
good too.
You'll need a variable speed motor if you intend to use a rheostat for speed
control. Otherwise you'll burn the motor(s) out.

the lead lengths short from the controller to the motor, and you'll
