Personally, I think keeping the list fairly open and having this happen
once in a while is a reasonable tradeoff.
If you run an open list things always get through, if its bulk spam we just
ignore it but if it looks like someone trying to get a result by upsetting
people we take the piss
Finally warmed up enough to try the PetroMax stove again. It flat out
would not light on plain BD, even when I heated the ring with a torch.
I mixed in some K1, and then a shot of gasoline. Finally got a weak and
spluttery flame - not enough to heat even a marshmallow.
I dumped out the mix
Mike,
I'm sure this is not an exciting discovery for you but, it is
relieving to me. Keep us posted.
Thanks,
Ken

Hi Vakin;
Thanks for your input. When you say 200 ml RO do you mean you wash a 1
liter test batch with 200 ml of reverse osmosis water?
BTW 95 deg. C is pretty warm it may dry the fuel quicker but there are
some notes on J2F that indicate biodiesel can oxidize. It may be
accelerated at that
So.I guess it would be out of the question to hit you up for a free
copy then eh mike? Darn.

It's relieving to me too. Must be a lemon. (Fine critters, lemons.)
The Britelyt looks like it should be one of the best stoves for
pre-heating with biodiesel, disappointing if

No. I mean 200 ml methil ester washed with 56 ml pure water. After
heating for couple of minutes up to 55 deg. C it
If it gets warm it will go rancid. It will make washing very difficult
but it will make bio and it can be done. I strongly suggest getting the
methanol back out of it before you wash it. ( if it gets rancid)

If you are in Chicago you will be fine until at least early June.

a/c compressors or refrigerator compressors will produce enough vacuum but they
are also designed to allow thier crankase oil to circulate through the system.
if it is not captured and returned they don't run for very long

Again here main problem is water. Compressors for R134a are lubricated
with ester oil and the ester oil loses lubricant feature very shortly in
high humidity. As Rumen said, the best way is vacuum pump from any diesel
engine.
