the symptoms you mentioned is quite common indicator of fuel pump failure.
The interval between stoppage will become shorter as the pump becomes more worn
down. You can change the pump or you can get it service. Here in Malaysia,
common rail pump servicing is not common yet as the equipment

am not too sure about the mercedes but most diesel have a ac pump. In my
Mitsubishi pajero/montero it is where the diesel filter is mounted. find the
pump. then push the top of the pump a few times and then start the car. if it
does and subsequently dies off it confirms that the pump
