The last MacBook I saw had USB3.0 host ports. But that was in 2014. I have not
yet had the opportunity to play with the new MacBook Pro models. But I’m sure
that there will be, or have been, changes. I’m equally sure that the MacBook
Air is due for a revamped model shortly, inline with the more pricy models.

That, as they say, is life! I could use the same argument for the old original
iOS connector, as I bought a keyboard and dock for those devices. Another
example of “Caveat Emptor”, (Let The Buyer Beware).

Technology moves on, as we all know. Again, you could argue that those who have
PowerPC Macs cannot install any operating system later than either Leopard, or
was it Snow Leopard, cannot quite remember. But the same point arises. What
about those people who invested hundreds on those machines? What about those
who still love steam engines, they cannot travel the main railway lines any
longer. What about those who love old-fashioned wind-up gramophones which used
wax cylinders instead of vinyl disks, and so it goes on.

Hello,

I am just wondering where this news came from. I could be really wrong, but
it's my understanding that Apple keeps these things pretty close to their
chest until release time. There are lots of rumors.

Please understand I am not saying anyone is lying. I had just understood for a
couple years now not to believe in any conjectures because people are required
not to say anything.

So they axed the 3.5mm headphone jack, only to ax the lightning port a year
later? What'll they do for headphones now? To my knowledge, they don't have
headphones with usb ends!
