Thanks for this, I’ve just gotten around to trying the procedure you suggested
and it works fine.

This works for me in OS but not in recovery Console which is where the problem

You can turn the volume up. Press VO+Command+right arrow until you hear volume.
Then press the same modifier keys plus up arrow instead of right arrow. Job
done.

That will all change soon as it happens.

Re: [Techno-Chat]: iMac recovery utility with Voiceover

2017-06-27 Thread Dane Trethowan
I’ll have a look at that amp and I wonder whether it very may well be better
than the solution I opted for, connecting my B T7 to the headphone jack of
the iMac and jacking the volume up to as loud as it could go.
Even then the volume was incredibly low.
I also used a pair of cans but with the same issue so one has to wonder what
the engineers at Apple were thinking at the time or perhaps they have ears of a
more sensitive nature than the rest of us.

Re: [Techno-Chat]: iMac recovery utility with Voiceover

2017-06-27 Thread Joshua Gregory
Hi,

I think I might remember running into something like this. If I
remember correctly, if the system volume is adequate and VO is still
low, adjusting the voiceover volume itself may help. Maybe this has
changed since I last used it, but just thought I'd pass it on.
