Re: [Tex-music] Italian Keyboard Tablature: Clefs
If you dislike this notation read http://imslp.org/wiki/Il_Transilvano_(Various) Part 2, about "intavolare" = to put 3 or 4 one-part staves into 2 staves. The notes played by either hand are always put into its corresponding staff. No dotted lines accross staves are needed to denote the parts like in a modern score. Same for r.h and l.h. indications. :-) Bye, Jean-Pierre --- TeX-music@tug.org mailing list If you want to unsubscribe or look at the archives, go to http://tug.org/mailman/listinfo/tex-music

This is the standard combination, used in Frescobaldis Toccata-prints and many others: MWE: \input musixtex \sepbarrules \setlines{1}{8} \setclef1\bass \setbassclefsymbol1\smallbassclef \startpiece \loffset{2.8}{\zcharnote{i}{\smallaltoclef}} \stoppiece \end I admit, it is a very dirty workaround, but the only one I could come up with. --- TeX-music@tug.org mailing list If you want to unsubscribe or look at the archives, go to http://tug.org/mailman/listinfo/tex-music

So I've found this on the web: http://www.omifacsimiles.com/brochures/images/fresco_toc.jpg There's an F-clef on the 4th staff line (\setclef16) and a C-clef on the 7th staff line, which are consistent. But how does one position a C-clef on the 7th staff line in MusiXTeX? The choice of clef affects the placement of notes. How will notes be placed if both an F clef and a C clef are in effect? There doesn't seem to be a *consistent* combination of F and C clefs. For example, \setclef15 puts an F clef on the 3rd staff line but there is no command to put a C clef on the 5th staff line. Can you show me how you "set and position the second clef manually".
