Could this have something to do with HTTP version? Is there a different
setting between Apache 1 and Apache 2, perhaps?

You probably want the image to be c:\inetpub\wwwroot\ifolder\image.jpg, if
you're running IIS, the point being that your web server is probably not
mapped right to the root of the hard drive.
