Hi Filip,
I have a problem and nobody could help me so far...it
seems to me you could.
I've configured Apache-Tomcat to use mod_jk and ajp13
over RedHat7.0 (Apache1.3.19), but they seem to work
separately, because when I try to
access /localhost/examples, I get a 103 message
(Forbidden, you
?

Hello Steve,
I've tried the way you recommend and it doesn't work
(but apache and tomcat work fine separately)...besides
as far as i'm concerned Tomcat-Apache is suppoused to
work only modifying mod_jk.conf (mod_jk.conf-auto) and
httpd.conf files.
I have the same problem than Phillip but I
it myself with what you gave
me. I would've never
gotten that on my own...
Thanks!

It doesn't seem to be the problem.
So far I've managed building my own mod_jk.so and
starting Apache with it (I don't have any problem at
Apache startup unlike days before).
Now It seems like Apache doesn't recognize /examples as
a Tomcat directory, it's the same message as I doesn't

I had the same problem and, definetely, you have to
build your own mod_jk.so.
Try downloading another version of Apache (not
installing it)and use it's apxs. I have 1.3.19 and it
works fine, only follow the mod_jk page instructions:
Make sure you have Perl 5 installed. The apxs script

Now I have the following message when I try to access to
http://localhost/examples
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /examples on this
server.
Do I have to edit my httpd.conf file and add /examples??

Hello Neil,
I've tried what you recommend and everything works fine

Apache and Tomcat work well but separately (not
together).
I have two httpd.conf files, /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
and /APACHE_HOME/conf/httpd.conf. In the procedure
