I have a tomcat 5.0.18 (on a windows system) connected to an apache 2
webserver (on Linux system) with the mod_jk2.
Everything works fine but if I have in my JSP some special characters like
the german umlaut (ä,ö,ü,...) the apache shows these chars as a ?.
If I go directly to the
http://localhost/ works but http:/// doesn't. Internet Explorer
gives a "Cannot find server" message.
I have tomcat 5.0.18 (without apache).
I can ping my IP externally. I have port forwarding enabled on my router.
Is there something I need to do to server.xml to enable this to work?

http://localhost but if you try to access http://yourMachinesIP it fails.

up before the timeout of those sessions, they will still exist upon server

I got a similar error when I migrated a working web app from one server to another.
The problem resulted from an older version of the mail.jar on the server I moved the
web app too.
You might want to compare the mail.jar files between the two servers.

size 128 MB is for all the application and not individually and the

I am deploying Axis based web services in Tomcat (4.0.6). My web
app .jar files need to be dynamically updated...
However, since some of the helper .jar files use Native (JNI) dlls,
I am unable to do this...I get the following error when Axis tries to

The bottom line is: on some version of linux, when you are looking at
the output of 'top', it makes things appear as though ALL your java
threads (the tomcat threads) have EACH got whatever memory is being used
by the *entire* JVM at that moment.
