In Karmic, the favicon icons aren't showing in the Bookmarks Toolbar.
Upon fresh install this is demonstrated by the lack of zilla icon next to the
Getting Started button.
The above mentioned missing zilla icon can be observed on the Ubuntu
Confirmed for fresh install of Karmic/i386/Alternative (Text-based) installer.
If a second (or more) process of Firefox is launched while the initial one is
loaded the bug does not occur.
My knee jerk reaction is to focus on the launcher as a possible culprit.

The best workaround I've found for this in Firefox is to go Edit--
Preferences--Content--Advanced JavaScript Settings-- uncheck
Allow scripts to move or resize existing windows.
This is something that we shouldn't have to do. But it prevents the
bug from occurring. I haven't really seen any big

outcome that you have. This bug seems rather elusive but not uncommon.
I've read multiple threads on ubuntuforums.org which report the same
issue.

Ok. I take that back. After applying the fix by Jan de Mooij, the
corruption is gone. But now if I Unmaximize the window I get what
would be best described as a fluttering effect with the titlebar.
This never happened before. Can anyone else confirm that?

Tried this on multiple computers with both LiveCD and installed systems.
The resulting comparison between Gutsy and Hardy is the same as I
indicated in the original report above. No hostname.

Hardy isn't providing the hostname to DHCP out-of-the-box.
One day I noticed that when I ping my Hardy machine (wired) from a Windows
machine with:
ping -a 192.168.1.104
It doesn't resolve the hostname of the Hardy system. I then tried

isn't logging at all and leaves the directory
~/.config/emesene1.0/hotmailaddrs_com/logs empty.
LoggerPlugin is enabled and no errors reported while running it in

But when I click on View conversation log there is no text in the
log.
The db file is written to every time I message somebody.
