I have done an aptitude install on exactly that list of packages on my
upgraded system.
Here is what aptitude did:
Install the following NEW packages:

The fix against mp3parse was committed Friday March 13th but the Ubuntu
packages have a version tag which looks to me like 10 days before that,
i.e. 3:0.svn20090303-99. Am I misunderstanding anything?

And why doesn't jockey find the 180 driver at all in the first place? I had to
manually install it.
Now every time i boot jockey comes up telling me it would have some proprietary
drivers for me to make my hardware work better; actually the 173 and 177 nVidia
drivers. It seems to ignore the 180

I just found that the 1.0.18 version of the ALSA drivers does not work
to provide audio over HDMI, at least not for nVidia cards. Using nvidia-
glx-180 and manually installing ALSA driver 1.0.19 makes an HDMI audio
device show up actually.

- booting from USB is only supported with BIOS version 08LA.
- the BIOS updater won't run from any Windows PE media for whatever reason

Good news for all owners of a Samsung R560 Aura. I upgraded my BIOS from
version 08LA to version 09LA and the problem went away. The 64 bit
LiveCD boots without any special options and all 4 GB are reported to be
available.

I have a new Samsung R560 Aura laptop. It works fine with any 32 Bit
Ubuntu Live CD (both 8.04 as well as 8.10), but it does not work with
any 64 Bit LiveCD. I tried 8.04 as well as 8.10 Alpha 4. I also checked
the forums for suggestions on similar behavious, but all in vain
