[Bug 190129] Re: screen resolution reset at maximum resolution at login

Since today, everything works as it should. I did not change anything so it must have been one of the updates. I started my computer and after login the screen resolution was correct. For me, the bug can be closed. -- screen resolution reset at maximum resolution at login

I would like to confirm that I have the same problem, using a nVidia FX5900 on a Sony Multiscan 300sf CRT, trying to keep 1280x1024 on Ubuntu 8.04 now. The problem appeared before, on 7.10 too. Thanks ! -- screen resolution reset at maximum resolution at login

I can confrim this too. Actually yesterday I realized, that in the new display configuration menu, at login the resolution is correctly set to 1280x1024, but the desktop is too big, as I have to move to the edges, and the desktop follows. When I change to 1024x768, the resolution changes and on

This just started to happen to me too with the updates of 8th or 9th of february. The current wrong resolution after booting is 1900 x 1200 for both the login screen and the desktop. My monitor is a 21 CRT, for which 4:3 is the right aspect ratio. I normally use a resolution of 1400 x 1050 or

If any confirmation of this bug is needed, I'm having the same problem. Resolution resets to maximum with each login. Selecting and saving a lower resolution with the box checked to make it the default has no effect. My maximum is 1280 X 1024. Selecting 1024 X 768 works for the current
