I think there is a workaround for this problem as I believe it's related to bug 455544 which occurs when the bandwidth preferences are set to the defaults. If you delete ~/.config/ubuntuone/syncdaemon.conf and restart the Ubuntu One client, you should be able to connect. ** Changed in:

Same here. Was working fine in KDE with correct dependencies; however upon a fresh install, my web account still had info from a previous install. I deleted that with the intention of adding my computer with the fresh install's credentials. Sadly, Ubuntu One never prompted to add this computer,
