Same problem with my Ubuntu 10.4. I had no problem until upgrading to 10.4. And now, all my OpenOffice documents print with a light yellow background (Epson AcuLaserC2000). The fix proposed by vxxzy worked perfectly for me also. Thanx! -- Cream Background Color when it should be white

This fix worked for me as well (HP OJP 8500 A909a). But be careful with the double quotes! Do not just comment out the rest of the line: -dPDFSETTINGS=/printer# -dUseCIEColor ^ be sure to put this back! Blake --

When the updates are run it 'should' fix the issue; however it may be best to keep watch on what is being updated. If you see an update for ghostscript, pstopdf, cups, lpr, etc... (basically updates that deal with printing) you may want to restore that file from the backup you created and then

Additional printers affected: The HP Photosmart C309 in Ubuntu 10.04 is doing the same thing. The HP 3845 also does it, but it is very faint as compared to the K5400, 8000, 8500, and C309. It is about like the HP 2605 color laser jet where you have to look really hard to see it. I've also attached
