Psensor v0.6.2.16 which is fixing this issue is available in the Debian
testing repository. It will be nice to sync it to Ubuntu Oneiric.

I have committed the icons into the dev branch, you can give it a try
using the PPA: ppa:jfi/psensor-daily-trunk.

OK, V2, including light theme and 3 hot variants, choose which one looks
best.
Regarding the launcher, these icons were designed for use in the app indicator
(I followed existing icons in size and placement, so I think it makes sense the
way it is.

I think that the 'red outlined' icon is the one with the better
look/raise enough attention. Until somebody has a different opinion, I
will use it.
I am going to modify the build to add the 2 themes icons, it will be
part of the next stable and dev psensor releases. Let me know if you
can/want to

OK, here we go. I made icons for a dark theme, modeled on the colors of
the weather icons. Tell me if it fits, and I can also do a light one, or
you can change the colors yourself.

It looks nice!
I have just 2 comments:
- the bottom of the thermometer is cut at the bottom (the bottom shadow too).
It is visible when the icon is used in the launcher entry but not for
application indicator.
