I can confirm this bug. I believe it is a gtk filechooser bug and has
nothing to do with firefox. I can reproduce this behaviour in gedit and
gimp. This is a really annoying bug, as we're talking about 25s that it
takes to load the file chooser on my workstation (in every Gnome
application!).
