Ok sounds good. Fwiw, sounds like it might be more of a window system
bug than X.
Also btw when you file bugs in the future please use the 'ubuntu-bug'
tool, which automatically attaches a bunch of info we need for analyzing
X.org problems.

I'm on Jaunty, pulse works fine on my x86_64 laptop, but when I've tried
on several x86 desktops and laptops, but none of them will function as a
sink for audio over the network, on a variety of soundcards, crashing
each time with a can't load module-alsa-sink

I'm not affected by this bug (using US locale), but I really wonder how is it
even possible that a small language fix hasn't been included in an official
release for a year and a half?

Deffinately a 'paper cut'. One of the 'I clicked on it, but nothing's
happening' stories. The moment I have to say Alt+Tab, it's too late.
